Four of the Best Schools in Pattaya
The growth of Pattaya as home for the expats working in the city, combined by the influx of international companies on the Eastern Seaboard has led to a great demand for international schools.
Sometimes the Thai education system cannot cope with these foreign students for a combination of reasons. One of the biggest reasons is that many students are already in the middle of learning an international standard curriculum at their previous schools.
Therefore there has been the foundation and growth of a number of international schools to service the specific demand for this level of education.
The International School Eastern Seaboard (ISE)
The ISE is an English language, coeducational, nonsectarian, college-preparatory day school. Students are accepted from pre-kindergarten through to grade twelve. There is a comprehensive academic program focusing on mathematics, science, history, and languages including English. Physical education is an important part of the curriculum together with arts and co-curricular activities.
ISE strives to be a model of an American style school. All programs are designed to accommodate students from many nations and to combine and satisfy their educational needs. To support the linguistic and cultural diversity of our international students a quality English as an Additional Language (EAL) program is offered. The program assures mastery of course / subject content and develops the skills needed to succeed in an international school.
St. Andrews International School
Part of St. Andrews marketing PR is the statement that the school was the first and only Gold awarded establishment on the Eastern Seaboard. This prestigious award comes from the independent inspectors of the CfBT.
St. Andrews has a spectacular location based in the lush Green Valley area near Rayong. Close to Pattaya City and only a couple of hours from Bangkok, it has the perfect base. The school is fairly compact with 500 students with ages ranging from 2-18 year olds. Therefore the classes are small and manageable with students getting almost individual attention.
